New Delhi: Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has attacked the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). He hit out at the Muslim Personal Law Board after he appealed to Muslim children to stay away from Surya Namaskar programmes. Naqvi said this is another flower of the fake fatwa factory. But the whole world knows that Surya Namaskar provides energy.

Naqvi shared news related to the board's appeal and wrote, 'Another flower of fake fatwa factory... Do they know whether they are allergic to the sun or namaskar? But both the Sun and Namaskar give energy, it is known to the world.' AIMPLB said on Tuesday that children from the Muslim community should not participate in surya namaskar programmes, because worshipping the sun is not right according to Islam.

In a statement, Personal Law Board General Secretary Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani had also said that the government should withdraw its guidelines and respect the sentiments of minorities in a secular country.
