Samajwadi Party faced a great defeat by the Bharatiya Janata Party during the election polls. Not only Samajwadi Party, but it's befriended party Congress also faced a dreadful loss.

Former chief of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav slammed his son and ex-chief minister of the Uttar Pradesh saying that “One who betrayed his father, can’t be a friend of others. I made Akhilesh the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.” 

Mulayam said that Akhilesh doesn't have the respect for his in his heart. Then he said that if he won’t respect me then how people will respect him. Mulayam shared his grievous feeling saying, “No father had made his son the CM during his own lifetime. And, what did Akhilesh do? He sacked his own uncle as a minister in his government. I have never been insulted so much.”
