Mumbai: People traveling in auto-rickshaws in Mumbai from today on Monday are going to be expensive. The fare of auto-rickshaw in Mumbai was earlier 18 rupees but now it has increased to 21 rupees. Here the black-yellow taxi fare used to be 21 rupees but now it has also been increased and has been increased to 25 rupees. Now sitting here in a taxi, whether you go for two steps or one and a half kilometers, but you have to pay 21 rupees and 25 rupees. With this, the fare will continue to increase in the same proportion after one and a half kilometers.

If you go for two and a half kilometers from an auto-rickshaw in Mumbai, earlier you had to pay Rs. 30 in a CNG auto-rickshaw. Now you will have to pay Rs. 36. At the same time, you used to pay 37 rupees before going for two and a half kilometers in a black-yellow taxi, but now you will have to pay 42 rupees. In the same way, till 12 o'clock 18 rupees was the night charge, now the fare raised to 21 rupees. Currently, the fare for one and a half kilometers has been increased to Rs 27 instead of 23. This new fare has come into effect from 1 March ie Monday.

According to this new fare, auto-rickshaws and taxis have been granted three months' time to change the meter box. Apart from the Mumbai metropolis, this increased fare will also be applicable in Thane, Kalyan, Vasai-Virar, Navi Mumbai, Dombivali, and surrounding areas.
