Mumbai: A special court in Mumbai has sentenced a 65-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping his daughter and minor grand daughter under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The victim woman said in her statement before the court that since she was 15, her father had been sexually harassing her.

The woman said that she was still living with her parents after her marriage. The woman said that her father had threatened her that if she told anyone about it, he would harm her children. According to the woman, she used to do housework with her mother, while her father, brother, and husband were painters. The woman also told the court that she had told one of her neighbors in connection with this sexual assault, who later died, after which she did not tell anyone else in this regard.

Along with this, the woman said that one day in 2017, her daughter, who used to study in the second grade, told her that when Nana sleeps with her at night, she acts dirty with him. After hearing this from the daughter, the woman immediately reached the police station and filed a case against her father.
