Mumbai: Heavy rain has started raining in many parts of the country including north India. On the one hand, people have been relieved of the scorching heat but on the other hand, water logging in many cities has added to the woes of the people. Now, talking about Maharashtra, two innocents have been swept away in an open gutter during the torrential rains here. Yes, however, these are two different incidents. The first incident is on Mira Road near Mumbai and the second incident is of Nalasopara.

In both these cases, the negligence of the municipal corporation is said to have taken a toll on the innocents. In fact, 4-year-old Amol Singh, who lives in Bilalpada in Nalasopara, had left home to play in the rain. There was water everywhere due to heavy rains. That is why the innocent did not realize that there was an open gutter. It has been more than 30 hours now, but nothing has been revealed about the innocent so far.

The second incident took place at Kashimira on Mira Road. Here too, something similar happened earlier. In fact, a 10-year-old boy has been swept away in the drain. Locals say they rushed to the spot for help when they saw him falling into the drain. Rescue operations have been launched to evacuate the child in the case but the success is yet to be achieved. Let me tell you that such incidents have taken place in Mumbai and surrounding areas in the past, but the Municipal Corporation (BMC) is not making any difference.
