Bilaspur: A man was shot dead in broad daylight in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. An unknown assailant fired several times at the car-borne leader near Sakri Chowk in Bilaspur city. It is being said that the deceased youth was holding some position in the Bilaspur District Congress Committee. The open incident in the city is raising questions about law and order. 

Last Wednesday, Sanju Tripathi was shot dead in broad daylight in Bilaspur city. Car rider Sanju Tripathi was shot dead by an unknown assailant near Sakri Chowk. He left for the city in his private car MG Hector. There has been a stir in the city due to this incident which happened in public. After this incident, many police officers including SP Parul Mathur reached the spot. According to sources, two attackers carried out the incident. Six rounds of firing were done on the Congress leader. This incident is raising questions about police, law, and order. After the murder of the Congress leader, the police swung into action. It will be investigated seriously.  

All the officers including SP to IG have taken cognizance of this incident. According to the news, more than one attacker has carried out the incident. According to sources, there is a possibility of murder due to an old dispute. Sanju Tripathi celebrated his birthday only on December 1 last and since then he was on target. At the same time, Congress has denied Sanju Tripathi from being the leader of the party. Congress spokesperson Sushil Singh Anand said that at present he is not holding any position in the District Congress Committee. He said that the incident of firing on youth in Bilaspur is very worrying and condemnable.
