He has shared this video- "I gave up cigarettes on the last day of August 2019. For 9 consecutive years I smoked more than 40 cigarettes every day and one year I also used vaping which is worse than a cigarette. Apart from this, I also used my voice during concerts and recordings and my voice had left me. He further wrote that "I did not tell anyone but it is true that I was struggling. My range, control, tone, everything was deteriorating, Singing in soft ways was becoming impossible for me. Any singer will believe that singing is a more difficult way than a loud song. Whatever song you heard from me in the last two years, I was not at my best".

He further wrote that "But now, after almost six months, when I have completely given up cigarette, I realize that my voice is back to what used to be. My clean tone has returned, my control has improved and earlier I used to feel restless during the song but now I feel happy singing. What I mean to say is that if you smoke, then leave it immediately before you completely damage yourself."
