In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the grand Ram Temple is now ready, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will consecrate the idol of Lord Ram on January 22. Meanwhile, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi, the National President of the All India Muslim Jamaat, has put forth a significant demand. He stated that along with the consecration of Lord Ram, Prime Minister Modi should also lay the foundation for a new mosque on the proposed land.
In compliance with the Supreme Court's order to allocate 5 acres of land elsewhere in Ayodhya for the construction of a mosque in lieu of the Ram Temple, no construction has begun on this site yet. Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi of the Barelvi sect has expressed that the confidence of Muslims in the Central Waqf Board has waned. He proposes that, similar to the Imam of the Kaaba Sharif, Prime Minister Modi should lay the foundation stone of the new Babri Mosque with his own hands. Therefore, on January 22, while seeking time from the Prime Minister, the foundation for the construction of the new Babri Mosque should also be laid. Maulana Razvi said that 5 acres of land in Mouza Dhanipur, Faizabad district, were allocated by the Supreme Court for the construction of the Babri Mosque. However, no steps have been taken for its construction, which is regrettable, especially when, on the other hand, the Ram Temple is ready for inauguration on January 22, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Maulana Razvi stated that Muslims have lost faith in the Sunni Central Waqf Board. He emphasized that trust and responsibility cannot be placed on the officials of this Waqf Board. Therefore, he urges that the foundation stone for the mosque should be laid by Prime Minister Modi in Ayodhya during his presence on January 22, as it would be more convenient for him. Maulana Razvi said that despite several years passing, no steps have been taken for the mosque's construction. Appeals are being made to collect funds in the name of the mosque, causing anguish among the Muslim community in India.
