Lucknow: The Ulema of Deoband have objected to a Muslim man saying 'Jai Shriram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' at a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Deoband's Ulema Mufti Asad Qasmi says that the young man should meet the Maulanas and repent to Ruju and Allah. Unperturbed by this radical instruction, young Ahsan Rao said that Shriram is his ancestor and he has no problem in saying 'Jai Shriram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.

In fact, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was addressing a rally in Saharanpur on Saturday (December 4). Meanwhile, a Muslim man started shouting Jai Shriram and Bharat Mata ki Jai. The video of her is going viral on social media. People are praising Ahsan Rao's secularism and generosity after the video surfaced. On the other hand, Ulema Mufti Asad Qasmi of Deoband says that there is no scope for raising such slogans in Islam. This young man should meet the Maulanas and repent to Allah because shouting such slogans leads to the eviction of Islam.
He said that such slogans should not be raised to please their worldly uncles. He also threatened to oust Ahsan from Islam. Reacting to this, Ahsan said, "We are descendants of Ram. Ram is our ancestor. I have no problem in speaking Jai Shriram or in saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai. We should hail the country in which we are living.''
