A law has been proposed in Maharashtra against the founder of Islam, Mohammed Prophet, and those who insult the Quran. Yes, and the Muslim organizations that make this proposal are Raza academy and deprived Bahujan Aghadi. On their behalf, this proposal has been placed before the Government of Maharashtra. Now, there is political turmoil over this law. In fact, the Raza Academy has introduced a bill called 'Prof. Mohammed and Other Religious and Prohibition of Cylinders Act, 2021' and proposed to enact a law on it.

He has also been supported by the deprived Bahujan Morcha led by Prakash Ambedkar in his proposal. In fact, this law advocates punishment for making any comment or derogatory statement on the Prophet Muhammad and the Quran. Raza Academy General Secretary Syed Noori reportedly described the law as a defense of derogatory remarks on all prophets or sect heads.

BJP is now opposing the proposal. In fact, the BJP has argued that "there are already laws in the country to punish those who spread religious hatred.'' Recently, BJP national spokesperson Prem Shukla said, "When there is already a law, there is no need for any new law. Apart from BJP, Shiv Sena also believes that there is no need to enact this law otherwise people of every religion and community will demand such a law.''
