Varanasi: The Varanasi district court has dismissed a petition filed by a Muslim side questioning the hearing of the Gyanvapi Shringar Gauri case, but even after this, a caveat has been filed in the Allahabad High Court on behalf of the Hindu side. In fact, on Monday (September 12, 2022), the District Court of Varanasi gave an important decision and allowed the petition of the Hindu side, in which regular worship of Shringar Gauri located in the Gyanvapi complex was sought.
The court said it was going to continue hearing the plea seeking the right to daily worship of gods and goddesses. At the same time, the Muslim side's petition was also rejected by the court. After this decision, the Muslim side said that they would move the Allahabad High Court against it. But, before that, a caveat has been filed in the Allahabad High Court on behalf of the Hindu side. Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer of the Hindu side, has given information in this regard, saying that this caveat has been filed on behalf of the same four Hindu women seeking the right to worship in the Shringar Gauri temple.
Their demand from the Allahabad High Court is that if there is any revision or application filed by the Muslim side against the district court's decision on Gyanvapi, then the court should not issue any order in this matter without hearing the Hindu side. Along with this, a copy of the petition should also be given. A petition was also filed in the court on behalf of the Muslim side to allow other religious activities along with offering chadar at three shrines present in the disputed Gyanvapi complex. It was heard on Wednesday (September 14, 2022), but without giving any decision, the court postponed the hearing of this case till October 3.
