Lucknow: A female doctor from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh has alleged that her husband forces her to wear a hijab. After receiving the complaint, the CO has directed the Baradari police to investigate the matter. Dr. Sana Khan, a resident of a colony located in Pilibhit bypass, has told in the complaint given to the police that on October 25, 2017, she was married to Dr. Tanim Sabir, a resident of Fike Enclave.
Dr. Tanim Sabir's father Faheem Sabir has contested the assembly elections twice from Cantt seat. After four months of marriage, there was a dispute between the two. In such a situation, on February 18, 2019, a case was registered against husband Dr. Tanim Sabir, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law, which is pending in the court. Dr. Sana alleges that Tanim makes indecent remarks against his family members. People send indecent messages about family and relatives. Forced to stay in hijab. Due to this the family members are going through mental stress.
Dr. Sana told that, her husband also threatens her to compromise in the case. If he does not do so, he threatens to kill his family. They also write abusive things about him and his family on social media. Dr Sana Khan has also handed over the screenshots of the post written by her husband Tanim to the police. CO (Crime) Dr. Deep Shikha says that further action will be taken after the investigation of the matter.
