Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Uttar Pradesh Sambhal Shafiqur Rahman Barq has made a controversial statement saying that there are more than 40 crore Muslims in India and we should not be considered weak. He said a situation like Ayodhya is being created in Mathura. If this happens this time, Muslims will sacrifice their lives. Barq's statement is fast going viral on social media.

Regarding Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya in an interview, he said, 'Whatever is happening is happening against the law. Whatever Maurya is saying, he wants to say only on the strength of his strength. They are considering Muslims as weak. But the Muslims of the country is not weak. They demolished the Mosque (Babri) and built a temple and now they want to demolish it in (Mathura), but it will not be allowed to happen. Just as the farmers have sacrificed, we will also start giving. He said the BJP is losing the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, so Hindu-Muslim is being provoked by such statements. All this is happening to win the elections.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya had recently tweeted that 'Mathura is now ready'. Replying to Shafiqur Rahman's statement, Keshav Prasad said, "Shafiqur Rahman is a gang man of Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav has to answer whether he is in favour of the temple in Mathura or against it?
