Palamu: Recently a piece of big news is coming out of Jharkhand in which the members of more than 50 Mahadalit families were beaten up by the persons of a particular community in Palamu of the state and they were thrown out of their land. The particular community told that the land belonged to the madrasa while the Musahar community is saying that they have lived here for 40 years. His name was recorded in the survey, then the administration had given him a place to live.

This whole matter is near Murumatu village under Kuzrukala Panchayat. There, the people of the Musahar family lived comfortably under the tile for about 40 decades near Tongri hill. On August 29, 2022, people of a particular community came there and started misbehaving with the Musahar families by demolishing the kutcha houses and pressurizing them to leave the village. It should be noted that the particular community did not just destroy the houses of the Mahadalit families, but also left the Loto forest by sitting in the tractor from children to old people. Due to this, everyone kept crying running here and there, but it did not make any difference to anyone. The most shocking thing in this whole incident is where the Mahadalit families had their abode, From there the Pandu police station was just 4 kilometres away. Yet no policeman came to stop the atrocities on Mahadalits. On the contrary, when questions were raised in this regard, it was said that if the Musahar family had come to meet the police, they would have given them a place to live in a vacant plot somewhere.

According to a report received, the police station came to the fore only after it was shown that the Musahar family was leaving Murumatu with their consent. Or then, when the Musahar families were released in the forest and later some of them dared to come to the police station to complain. On this matter, Pandu police station in-charge Dhuma Kisku said that this whole incident is related to a land dispute. After the attack, people of Musahar caste came to the police station and gave oral information. To date, no written complaint has been received. Police are investigating the case. Let us tell you that in this whole incident, the victims say that the plot where they lived is GM land. The administration got them surveyed and settled there. But now another community is telling it the land of the madrasa.
