MWL meets with the minister of external affairs as his trip to India continues

Riyadh:  Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the secretary-general of the Muslim World League, met with Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs of India, on Thursday in New Delhi.

Two officials went over a number of issues that interested them both.

Al-Issa also gave a lecture at the Vivekananda International Foundation in New Delhi, where he emphasised Islamic principles that promote the welfare of all people as well as the significance of a pact between civilizations for world peace and harmony.

Mahmood Madani, the head of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and an Indian Muslim scholar, also met with the MWL leader.

Madani welcomed Al-Issa to India and expressed his gratitude for the MWL's efforts to combat hate speech and extremism as well as to clarify the true message of Islam.

The president of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, and the MWL leader also had a meeting.
