Harry Styles has a very tight schedule ahead of him for the rest of the year, considering the singers acting projects and will be seen acting in two big films, My Policeman and Don't Worry Darling. With both films' trailers already out, one thing that both films have in common is that they have multiple personal sequences. Styles, who is currently riding high on the success of his new album Harry House, spoke with Rolling Stone about his acting plans.

Styles, who will be seen portraying a gay police officer in the 1950s-set movie My Policeman, spoke out about how the movie's sex scenes will differ from other movies' depictions of gay sex. Harry insisted that after reading the script by Oscar-nominated author Ron Nyswaner, he was drawn to the role. Speaking about the film's storyline, he said, "It’s not like ‘This is a gay story about these guys being gay.’ It’s about love and about wasted time to me."

The actor also addressed the issue of his personal scenes receiving so much attention and added, "So much of gay sex in the film is two guys going at it, and it kind of removes the tenderness from it. There will be, I would imagine, some people who watch it who were very much alive during this time when it was illegal to be gay, and [Michael] wanted to show that it’s tender and loving and sensitive", via The Rolling Stone.

Although Harry's comments appear to have drawn criticism from online users who noted that, in contrast to the singer's beliefs, a number of recent films, such as Call Me By Your Name, Moonlight, and God's Own Country, have managed to maintain the space of erotic and sensitive portrayals of gay sex.
