New Delhi: The Government of India has deleted its tweet, which said that the lockdown would be ended on 14 April. The demand for continuation of lockdown to prevent coronavirus infection across the country is gaining momentum. Several states have been requested to take a decision in this regard from the Central Government. Some experts have also held the same view.

Right now the central government is brainstorming on these suggestions. On the other hand, reports of the government portal MyGovIndia's Twitter handle extending the lockdown on Tuesday afternoon were described as 'baseless'. However, the tweet was deleted within minutes. In such a situation, questions are being raised whether deleting the tweet is a sign that the government is thinking seriously about increasing the lockdown. MyGovIndia wrote to Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba that there is no plan to extend the 21-day lockdown. In the tweet, it was called a fact check.

The tweet wrote, 'The claims related to increasing the lockdown are baseless and the government has not yet issued any notification in this regard. Do not fall prey to such rumors. However, in its few minutes, it is not known what happened that this fact check went wrong? No explanation has been given till the news is written about this from the government handle.
