In the month of June 1947, many sea ships were passing through the trade route in the Gulf of Malacca at that time. During this time an SOS message arrived that all the crew members of the ship had died. SOS messages are sent in an emergency. Now recognizing the signal of that ship, all the nearby ships moved towards that mysterious ship. The closest merchant ship to the mysterious ship was The Silver Star, which quickly reached out to it. When the crew members of The Silver Star reached the mysterious ship, they were stunned to see that only the corpses were scattered everywhere. Many people also had their eyes open. Looking at them, it seemed as if they were afraid of something. The most surprising thing in this was that there were no marks of any kind of wound on the body of the people who died. 

Later when the crew members of The Silver Star reached the boiler room of that mysterious ship, they started to get very cold even when the temperature was above 100 degrees Celsius. Now it was very surprising. After seeing all this the crew members of The Silver Star decided to board their ship quickly.

It was later learned that crew members of The Silver Star had reached their ship before that smoke started coming out of that mysterious ship and caught fire. However, somehow crew members arrived onboard their ship. As soon as they reached there, there was a huge explosion in that mysterious ship and upon seeing it, the ship got trapped in the depths of the sea. While some people attribute the mysterious power behind this incident, some people believe that a cloud of natural gases had formed there, due to which all the crew members of the ship were killed and the ship also caught fire. That mysterious ship is known as 'Ourang Medan'. Now who was responsible for this incident, it has not been known till date. People also call 'The SS Orange Medan' a ghost ship. Some of the same people also consider it imaginary.
