Spain's renowned tennis player Rafael Nadal has withdrawn his name from this year's US Open due to Coronavirus. He tweeted on Tuesday and said, 'After much deliberation, I have decided not to play in the US Open this year. The situation is very critical all over the world, the cases of corona epidemic are increasing constantly, it seems that we have no control over it yet.'

Rafael Nadal, who was a 19-time Grand Slam winner, told, "We know that after stopping for 4 months this year, the tennis calendar has been reduced which is very bad. I know at this time that they have made a lot of effort to organize these sports competitions and I understand this very well and thank them for this."

He said, "I am honoring America Tennis Association (USTA), the organizers of the US Open and the ATP's effort to gather all the players and fans through TV". Nadal also said, "This is a decision that I do not want to take but this time I have decided to listen to my heart and I will not travel for some time."
