Nagma made her Bollywood film in 1990 with superstar Salman Khan's film Baaghi. She was opposite Salman in this film. Nagma appeared in many successful films of Hindi cinema and gained immense popularity. She has appeared in many other language films including Telugu, Tamil, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi. The actress always remain in news for her personal and professional life.
Nagma named was also linked with cricketer Sourav Ganguly. The actress also once opens up on the these link up rumors and said, “Whatever one says, nobody has denied anything. As long as there is no denial of each other’s existence in each other’s life, any person can say anything they want.” She further said, “there was a career at stake, besides other things, so one had to part. One had to weigh a lot of things, rather than be on an ego trip and insist on being together.”
The actress said, “When it becomes too much, it starts affecting the interest of one another. Then slowly, though you’re supposed to bring happiness to a person’s life, you bring misery. Then it’s in their best interests to move on.”
Nagma also appeared in various Bhojpuri Film Award for Best Actress twice. She was also nominated twice for Filmfare South. She worked in a large number of Indian languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Punjabi and Marathi. Nagma debuted with Bollywood film Baaghi: A Rebel for Love along with Salman Khan. It became Hindi theatre’s 7th largest profit-making film in 1990.
