Dehradun: Heavy rains in Uttarakhand have worsened the situation at many places in Nainital. Several labourers were reportedly died in the Ramgarh area of Nainital. Meanwhile, Nainital Lake is overflowing and flowing as a sharp edge towards both Bhavali and Haldwani routes. The army had to work hard to evacuate the people trapped on these roads.

Due to the same highest rainfall, Nainital Lake overflowed and flowed like a river in a strong stream towards both Bhavali and Haldwani routes. The situation was such that 25 to 30 persons were stranded for the past 14 hours in the shops on Bhawali Road on the Cantt side. They were evacuated with the help of the army. It was very challenging for the army to evacuate them safely. The video shows how army personnel are making a human chain and evacuating several people trapped in a shop. Continuous water is also flowing in the strong stream due to the evacuation of persons.

It was difficult to remove individuals amidst the same fast-moving edge. Army personnel are carrying the stranded persons on their shoulders. Almora police said, 200 tourists, have been rescued safely from the Lemon Tree Resort at Ramnagar in Nainital. ASP Almora Pankaj Bhatt is closely monitoring the situation. Lemon Tree Resort is located on the Nainital-Almora border Nainital.
