Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar are soaking in the success of their show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, which just celebrated its first anniversary. The on-screen couple interacted with the press while filming their show, and they expressed their joy at how much people enjoyed and adored the BALH 2.
"The show has been running for a year, and now that everyone is talking about it, we can tell that they all adore it. It feels amazing in today's time for a show to run for a year, which equates to about 260 episodes. I feel ageing, "Nakuul said.
Disha continued, "Sincere to goodness, a show running for that long is not very typical. Being adored after a year of broadcasting is lovely. It is incredible."
When the actress was getting married to Rahul Vaidya, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 came her way "I was delighted to receive the show. Everything happened to me in a flash. I was approached, selected for the role, and on the sets within 15 days—right in the middle of my wedding. I was overjoyed because I knew Nakuul was on board and we had already met before the show had even been signed. At the time, we had no idea we would be performing the show."
Nakuul had plans to leave television while Disha was getting married, and he even disclosed one month prior to signing BALH that he wouldn't be doing TV shows. "Disha had asked me what I was doing when we first met, and I had replied that I wasn't watching television at the time. Later, when I signed the contract for the show, she inquired about my knowledge of it as the first question. I told her I didn't know. It came as a very pleasant surprise "said he.
When asked about comparisons and rivalry with Ram Kapoor and Sakshi of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain season 1, Nakuul said it would be disrespectful to the venerable actors to claim that he and Disha are in the same league as them. "The earlier show Bade Acche Lagte Hai is legendary. We aren't even attempting to be there or to take their place. It is a completely new tale to us. Since we are acting in this Bade Acche rather than just watching it as an audience, our methods are very different. Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar are legendary figures in our business. We are unable to rival them. They are our seniors, and we have watched them grow up. It does them a disservice, if we assert that we are in opposition to them. We are just trying to unhone joh kaam kiya hai hum Usko kharab Na kare; there is no competition," he said.
