Balakrishna could not control his tears as he saw the last glimpse of Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar. He hugged and consoled Puneet's elder brother Shivrajkumar. Prabhudheva was also shedding tears while giving his last darshan. Veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and choreographer-cum-filmmaker Prabhudheva arrived in Bengaluru on Saturday to pay their last respects to Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away at the age of 46 due to cardiac arrest.

The late actor will be cremated with full state honors on Saturday evening. Puneeth, son of Kannada film legend Dr Rajkumar, passed away on Friday. His body has been kept at the Kanteerva Stadium for his fans to pay his last respects. Lakhs of fans from Karnataka and neighboring states thronged since Friday evening to bid their last farewell to their favorite star.

On the work front, Balakrishna will next be seen in Boyapati Srinu's action thriller Akhand. The shooting of this film starring Pragya Jaiswal has been completed recently. The film is being produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under the banner of Dwarka Creations. The film, which is touted to be an action entertainer which will have mass appeal, is the third collaboration between Balaiya and director Boyapati Srinu after 'Simha' and 'Legend'. The music of the film is being composed by young music director S Thaman. Other technical artists include C Rama Prasad for cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao for editing.
