Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis from Maharashtra has said a lot about former CM Narayan Rane joining BJP. Fadnavis said that Rane is close to the BJP and a decision could be taken soon if he joins the party. This decision will be taken only after talks with Shiv Sena. Let us know that earlier on Thursday, former state CM Narayan Rane said that he will join the ruling BJP on September 1.

After leaving the Congress, Rane was elected to the Rajya Sabha with the support of the BJP and formed the 'Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha' party which is part of the NDA. "I will join BJP on September 1 in Solapur, where party's national president Amit Shah will address a rally," Rane told reporters.

According to BJP sources, NCP MLA Rana Jagjit Singh Patil and Satara MP Udayan Raje Bhosle will also join the party soon. Former CM Narayan Rane became the Chief Minister in the first Army-BJP government in the state. Later in 2005, Shiv Sena resigned from the Sena and joined the Congress due to a confrontation with Executive President Uddhav Thackeray. The Shiv Sena does not like him at all. The army had strongly commented on Rane joining the BJP. Rane is currently a Rajya Sabha MP from BJP quota.
