New Delhi: The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2021, is expected to be debated and passed in the Lok Sabha on Friday. On December 6, the government introduced the Bill in the Lok Sabha.
Nirmala Sitharaman, a Union Minister, will introduce a bill to alter the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. She will also make a motion for the Bill to be passed by the House.
The opposition will introduce a legislative resolution declaring that the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021, promulgated by the President on September 30, 2021, is disapproved by this House (Lok Sabha).
Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, would present a proposal to elect one Lok Sabha member to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh). The Rajya Sabha has passed the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2021, and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Bill, 2021, according to the Lok Sabha secretary-general.
