Patna: RJD President Lalu Prasad termed PM Narendra Modi's announcement to repeal 3 agricultural laws as a "victory for farmers and defeat of ego". He has demanded minimum support (MSP) from the Centre for the benefit of farmers on Wednesday. Addressing reporters on the occasion of the 25th Foundation Day of RJD, Prasad claimed that the party has got the support of farmers and weaker sections of the society which will help in forming the government in the state in the next assembly elections.

PM Narendra Modi's decision to withdraw the agriculture laws is a victory for farmers. Narendra Modi and ego have been defeated. However, the agitation will continue till the law is enacted on MSP. Modi had announced last week that 3 Central agricultural laws would be withdrawn. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the bill to scrap them. The ruling NDA RJD in the state and at the Centre was baffled by the recent overwhelming and unprecedented support from the farmers. RJD has the support of farmers and weaker sections of society. The 73-year-old former CM said that we will form the government in the state in the upcoming assembly elections.

He also said that the party will give more tickets to women at that time. The RJD supremo, who has been living in Delhi since her release from jail a few months ago, said he no longer feels like staying away from the people of Bihar. He was convicted in several fodder scam cases and is now out on bail. He appeared before the Special CBI Court in Patna on Tuesday in another fodder scam case.
