Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reached the city to inaugurate the 14th  Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. Union Minister Ananth Kumar, Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other leaders reached Airport to receive him.

Dr Antonio Costa will be the chief guest of the event. Every year Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is organized in the nation to mark the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to India.

The event is one of the important way to build an engagement between Central and State Governments with overseas Indian community.
