Narasimha Jayanti, which comes every year, is on 6 May this year. In such a situation, you all must know that Lord Narasimha is considered the fourth incarnation of Srihari and this avatar was slightly different from other incarnations. In this he was seen as half lion and half man.

Story- In ancient times there was a sage named Kashyap. His wife was Dwiti. He had two sons Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashyap. In order to free everyone from the terror of Hiranyaksha, Lord Vishnu took the form of Varah and killed him. Hiranyakaship meditated hard to take revenge for the same thing. He pleased Brahmaji and asked him the blessings of immortality, but when Brahma refused to give this boon, he did not die, neither in the house, nor outside, nor in the arms, nor in the day, nor in the night, nor in the night. Asked this boon from man neither animal nor sky nor earth. Hearing this, Brahmaji and Aastu became impatient. After receiving a boon from Brahma, Hiranyakashyap considered himself God. He also ordered his subjects that all would consider him to be God and worship him only. He also announced that whoever does not listen to him will be punished. Everyone agreed to Hiranyakashyap, but his son Prahladji did not listen. He was an ardent devotee of Srihari.

He used to be absorbed in his devotion day and night. Hiranyakaship tried to convince him many times. But when he did not agree, he tried to kill him. Even after Hiranyakashyap's explanation and efforts, Prahlad does not agree. So one day he asked Prahlada, "Where is your God?" He said, "He is pervading all over." Then Hiranyakashyap, looking at the pillar standing in front, asked, "Is it your God?" Prahlad said that 'Yes, he is everywhere and in it too.' Hearing this, Hiranyakashyap was angry and in a fit of anger, he attacked him. Then Lord Vishnu appeared by ripping the pillar. Which were neither animals nor humans. He assumed the form of Narasimha according to the boon sought from Brahmaji of Hiranyakashyap. After this, Hiranyakashyap did not sit on his night, neither dusk nor weapon or weapon, that is, with nails, not inside the house i.e. on the frame of the house, nor on the ground nor the sky, nor did he slay him with his nails done.

Even after the killing of Hiranyakashyap, the anger of Lord Narsingh did not calm down. All three people began to tremble in this form of theirs. Then all the gods reached the shelter of Shivji and requested him to calm the anger of Shrihari. After this, Bholenath took the Shalabh incarnation and pulled Narsingh from his tail and took him to Hades. For a long time, he kept him in his tail like this. Lord Narsingh made a lot of effort but could not redeem himself and in a short time Narsingh Bhagwan recognized Bholenath and then his anger subsided.
