NASCAR to jump a day ahead as Rain Kicks On

New Delhi:- Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway has been postponed until Monday.

NASCAR has made the decision to reschedule Sunday morning's race due to the heavy rain forecast for the rest of the day in the New England area. Monday's race will begin at 12 pm ET and will be broadcast on the USA Network. Sunday's race was scheduled to start at 2:30 pm.

The New Hampshire race was the third time in a row this month that rain had a major impact on the Cup Series. The July 2nd race at Chicago's street course was postponed due to rain and then shortened. Last week's race in Atlanta was cut short due to thunderstorms.

Christopher Bell is expected to start Monday's race from the pole position ahead of Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Martin Truex Jr. Bell is the defending champion of New Hampshire, having beaten Chase Elliott one season ago. The 2021 race in New Hampshire was also affected by rain. A rider crashed at the start due to a wet track, shortening the race by eight laps to Aric Almirola winning. 

Due to rain, the Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway was postponed to 12 pm. Monday Eastern time. The 301-lap race will be broadcast on the USA network.

Christopher Bell, who won the race a year ago, starts from pole position. The weather forecast for Monday calls for sunny skies and a high of 84 degrees Celsius.

Drivers who have won New Hampshire in three of the last four years have secured playoff berths with their first victories of the season -- Bell last season, Aric Almirola in 2021, and Kevin Harvick in 2019. William Byron heads into Monday's race as the leader of the standings. Martin Truex Jr. is 21 points behind Byron. Kyle Busch is 36 points behind Byron. Bell is 37 points behind Byron.

Busch will start from last after repairing damage to his car from various accidents during Saturday's practice and qualifying.

Sunday’s NASCAR Race at New Hampshire had to get canceled as rain washes off the roads and had to be postponed till Monday at 12pm. Christopher Bell is supposed to start the race from his pole position just ahead of Joe Gibbs
