Mumbai: Union Minister Giriraj Singh has also jumped into the controversial statement about Aurangzeb and Godse, which started from Maharashtra. In Chhattisgarh on Friday, Union Minister Singh described Nathuram Godse as a "son" (worthy son) of India. In fact, referring to the recent violence in some cities of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made a big statement on Wednesday. He had said that suddenly Aurangzeb's 'aulad' (child) has been born in the state. On this, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi responded and said - Who is the 'son of Godse'."

Justice GD Khosla, who heard the Gandhi murder case and ruled against Godse, made a very important comment in this regard in his book 'The Murder of the Mahatma'. In that comment, Justice Khosla had said that if the people present in the court at that time were given the status of a judge and asked to pronounce the verdict, then surely Godse would have been declared 'innocent' of the charge of killing Gandhiji with an overwhelming majority. The incident took place on May 17, 1949, when Godse was sentenced to death. Before the sentencing, Godse gave his last speech, in which he gave his side on the assassination of Gandhiji.
