After continuously decreasing the number of alligators in India, the use of crocodile conservation in the Chambal river of Madhya Pradesh has been successful. The number of alligators in the river is constantly increasing. Now Chambal is contributing to the growth of alligator in other rivers. The river has gongs in the Vyas and Sutlej rivers of Punjab. This time also, the Forest Department has stopped 25 of the 147 gongs ready for release here in other rivers. The Punjab Forest Department has also demanded for this. At the same time, due to the fact that alligators have not been left in the Ken river for 14 years, experts have recommended to leave the alligator there too, from the Chief Wildlife Warden Madhya Pradesh.

According to media reports, like every year in the Chambal river, this time the Forest Department had sought permission from the Chief Wildlife Warden's Office to release 147 alligators into the river, but the demand and experts of Chambal's alligator in other rivers of the country and Madhya Pradesh Keeping in mind the opinion of the Chief Wildlife Warden Office, only 122 of these alligators have been allowed to be released into the river.

Let us tell you that about three years ago, about 50 alligators were sent to the Beas and Sutlej rivers of Punjab including Chhatvir Zoo in Chandigarh. After this, the Forest Department Punjab had asked for some more gongs from the Forest Department Madhya Pradesh, the demand is still under consideration. The Forest Department Morena has not been told from the Chief Wildlife Warden Office yet where the reserved gongs will be left, but It is certain that the gongs whose release has been stopped will be released in the winter this year. These gongs can be stopped for at least a year. So soon the forest department will decide whether the gongs will go to Son river or Cane river or they will be sent to Punjab.
