Since August, there have been at least 84 attempts of infiltration from the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in India. On Tuesday, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy gave information about this intention in the Lok Sabha and said that 59 terrorists are expected to enter the valley. Responding to the question starred in the House, Reddy said that the infiltration of terrorists from LoC into Jammu and Kashmir is sponsored and supported from across the border.

In his statement, he said, 'There have been 84 such attempts from across the border and it is estimated that 59 terrorists may have entered.' 2253 was forced to retreat. This has been made possible by effective monitoring of the security forces.

Regarding the matter, the Minister of State for Home Affairs said in a written reply that Rs 4,800 crore has been sanctioned to the 4.5 lakh employees of Jammu and Kashmir divided into two union territories as per the Seventh Pay Commission. He said that the Center is fully committed to the overall development of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. According to the Seventh Pay Commission, it includes giving education allowance, hostel allowance, transport allowance, LTC, a fixed medical allowance to children. Earlier, these allowances were not being given to the employees. On 31 October, two union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh came into existence.
