The BJP has intensified its efforts to form the government after the collapse of the Congress-JDS government in the ongoing Karnataka crisis. According to sources, state BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa is likely to stake claim to form the government soon. If the BJP returns to power, it will be his fourth term as Karnataka Chief Minister.
In his statement, Yeddyurappa said that he will first meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah. Only then will he go to meet the Governor. He has convened a meeting of party MLAs for the next strategy. Yeddyurappa has written a letter to Amit Shah saying, "I thank you for the support it has received from the party. On the other hand, BJP workers in the state have started celebrating the possibility of forming a government.
Amid efforts to form a new government, former state chief minister and senior BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa reached the Sangh office at Bengaluruke Chamrajpet (Chamrajpet). He said I have come to seek blessings from senior leaders of the Sangh Parivar. I am waiting for the instructions coming from Delhi. The claim to form the government can be presented anytime thereafter.
