At present, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said that Puducherry is facing problems due to its unique status of being a union territory. He has asked the central government to find a solution to this matter. Narayanasamy said in an event held in Puducherry on Thursday that the Indian government treats us like a state or union territory at its convenience. Our situation is such that neither we are here nor there.

In his statement, the Congress leader further said that the same problems are being faced by the Puducherry administration as the Delhi administration is doing. He further said that both Puducherry and Delhi are in a difficult position as they are union territories with the legislature.
