National Herald case: ED issues new  summons to Rahul on June 13

NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a new summons to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to join the inquiry into the National Herald case.  

Accordingly, On June 13, Rahul Gandhi will have to record his statement in front of ED officials. He has been asked to testify before the investigation agency on June 2.

Because he was abroad, Rahul had requested that the investigating agency give him some time to join the investigation. Rahul wrote to the ED shortly after receiving the summons, stating that he would be unable to join the investigation on June 2. He had requested time from the central organisation.

Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had been summoned by the ED to participate in the investigation. Sonia Gandhi has been summoned on June 8, while Rahul Gandhi has been summoned on Thursday (June 2).  Now He has  been summoned once more.  The ED wants both of them to testify in front of the investigation agency.

Several Congress officials, including the Gandhis, have been charged with misappropriating cash from the National Herald. The complaint was initially filed with the Central Bureau of Investigation, and the ED's investigation is based on the CBI's findings.
