A five-member Constitutional Bench headed by Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on the Ayodhya land dispute held its ninth day hearing on Wednesday. Ram Lalla's lawyer C.S. Vaidyanathan said that in the stipulated state of law, God is always a minor and the property of a minor cannot be taken away, nor can he be claimed to be in unfavourable possession. The ground is only of God. It is the birthplace of Lord Rama, so no one can claim possession of a mosque there.
In his statement, Vaidyanathan said that when the property is vested in God, no one can take it. The right of God cannot be taken away by confiscation. The law of adverse possession will not apply to such property. People have a lot of faith in their homeland. The image gives purity to that place. Lord Ram of Ayodhya is a minor. The property of the minor cannot be sold or snatched.
Arguments were made on Tuesday for the eighth day on behalf of Ram Lalla Virajman. Vaidyanathan referred to the ASI report saying there was evidence that there was a Hindu temple before the disputed structure. The temple of Vishnu Hari was built in Ayodhya in the 11th century by Govind Chandra, the king of Saket Mandal. The place of the disputed structure is confirmed to be a temple by an inscription from there. There is a mention of the construction of the temple on this.
The case could not be heard on the seventh day on Monday as Justice Bobde, one of the five-justice bench, could not come to the court due to his unattended condition. Earlier in the hearing, Ram Lalla Virajman said that several images of gods were found at the disputed site. He also cited the report of the court-appointed commissioner to inspect the disputed site.
