On the statement of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) on violence in Delhi, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ravish Kumar has said that this is an attempt to politicize. Apart from this, such statement should be avoided in such cases. The statement of the OIC is factually incorrect, selective and misleading. Efforts are being made on the ground to restore normalcy and build confidence. We urge these institutions to avoid making irresponsible statements. With this, he said that the reason why this happened is, of course, a matter of investigation. It is important to note here that law and enforcement agencies are working at the ground level. At the same time, they are working to bring the situation back to normal. Along with this, he said that the PM himself has publicly appealed for peace and brotherhood. I would also like to mention some of the statements that have been made by the agencies / individuals. 195 Indians and 41 foreign nationals evacuated from Wuhan, China and Japan.

Ravish Kumar said that we evacuated 195 Indians and 41 foreign nationals from Wuhan, China and Japan and brought them to India in two special flights this morning. At the same time, a total of 842 Indians and 48 foreign nationals have been evacuated from China and Japan. Simultaneously, the talks between the two heads of state on the Rohingya issue, he said, had discussed the Rohingya issue by Myanmar President U Win Mint and PM Modi during their previous visit to India. If we look at the number of MoUs signed, there are at least 4-5 MoUs which are actually related to the socio-economic development of Rakhine State. Therefore, there was a discussion on how India can support the socio-economic development of that region of Myanmar.

Earlier the US Commission on International Religious Freedom Affairs (USCIRF) gave a statement on Delhi violence on Wednesday. Along with this, he expressed concern and appealed to the Government of India to take action at the earliest to ensure the safety of its citizens. On the other hand, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in its reply that the comments made on the media category and some individuals are factually incorrect and misleading. With this, there seems to be an aim to politicize this issue. Also, it is advisable not to make such irresponsible remarks.
