Haryana Minister Ranjit Chautala has given a disputed statement on the riots over (CAA). The minister said that there are riots. It has been happening before also. The BJP rewarded him by making him a cabinet minister. He is the younger brother of INLD chief and former Chief Minister Omprakash Chautala. Ranjit Chautala was earlier in the Congress, but he contested as an independent candidate when the Congress was not given a ticket in the assembly elections. He is considered close to former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. He was also the chairman of Haryana State Planning Commission during Hooda's reign.
