AAP party councilor Tahir Hussain has been given an explanation on behalf of the party over allegations of involvement in Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Ankit Sharma's murder. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh, while clarifying the allegations, said that from the first day our party (AAP) has been saying that action should be taken against any person, irrespective of party or religion.

In his statement, Sanjay Singh said that Tahir Hussain had already given his statement in which he said that he gave all information to the police and media about the mob and their entry into the house during the violence. He sought protection from the police. The police arrived 8 hours late and rescued him and his family from his home.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Kapil Mishra on Thursday alleged that AAP is trying to save its councilor, Tahir Hussain. In a tweet on Thursday, Kapil Mishra alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is trying to save Municipal Councilor, Tahir Hussain. Kapil Mishra tweeted that, 'Apart from AAP leaders, even journalists supporting Arvind Kejriwal are engaged in the mission of saving Tahir Hussain. He is seen with rioters on the same terrace.' He further alleged that at least 3 people including Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma were killed in Tahir Hussain's house.
