The Indian Council of Medical Research On Friday reported that 16 antibodies based tests have been allowed so far at the National Institute of Virology (National Institute of Virology, NIV) in Pune, out of which 8 tests have been found to be satisfactory. Apart from this, ICMR has accredited the TrueNat machine for testing the Kovid-19. This is a TB testing machine.

For your information, let us tell you that amid the increasing cases of Coronavirus, the ICMR changed its strategy regarding the process of investigation. According to the new strategy, if the person returning from abroad within the last 14 days has symptoms of this epidemic, then it will be tested.

Apart from this, every health worker who comes in contact with the infected patients will be examined, in which even some symptoms are found. As per the changes made by the council, cases like sore throat, cough, fever, colds will also be tested. It is worth mentioning that 1 lakh 30 thousand samples have been investigated so far in the country.
