Amritsar: There are reports of uproar during CM Charanjit Singh Channi's speech in the Punjab assembly. The uproar escalated to such an extent that Navjot Singh Sidhu and Akali Dal leaders had even clashed. However, the details of what led to the scuffle are yet to be revealed. But Navjot Singh Sidhu's statement on the uproar in the assembly has come.

Punjab Congress unit president Sidhu said, "The opposition is scared, so it is deliberately doing so(clash). Channi Sarkar, Punjab Congress is working for the people here. Whatever schemes have been established, the announcements have been made keeping in mind the next five years. Not keeping in mind the next two to three months.'' Charanjit Singh Channi had lashed out at the Akali Dal during the assembly proceedings. He had said that the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) looks at every issue in a political tone which is unfortunate.

The 16th session of the 15th Punjab Assembly is currently underway. Channi also alleged that the door of Punjab was opened for the Sangh (RSS) due to Akali. It was said that RSS always acts against the interests of Punjab. Earlier on Wednesday, there was a scuffle between Akali Dal leaders and farmers. The clash was compared to the Lakhmipur violence by the United Kisan Morcha (SKM). The clash took place in Ferozepur after which there was tautness.
