Nawaz Modi Singhania has leveled serious allegations against her estranged husband, billionaire industrialist Gautam Singhania, alleging instances of physical abuse.

The incident, as recounted by Modi, unfolded in the early hours of September 10, following Singhania's birthday celebrations the previous night. She asserted that Singhania subjected both herself and their daughter to a harrowing 15-minute assault. "He relentlessly beat, smashed, kicked, and punched us," she disclosed.

Recounting the distressing episode, Modi revealed that after the attack, Singhania abruptly left, raising concerns that he might return armed. Fearing for their safety, she and her daughter sought refuge in another room. "I've undergone two hernia surgeries—one during my pregnancy and another due to an ectopic pregnancy that led to the removal of a fallopian tube, causing another hernia. He was aware of this, yet flung me around the room multiple times. His onslaught was directed at Niharika and me, while we tried to shield each other," she narrated to the publication.

Trigger for the alleged assault: Modi attributed the assault to issues of "power and control," citing an incident where Singhania demanded access to the bathroom she was using and refused to utilize any other facilities in their home. She drew parallels between Singhania's admiration for Atulya Mafatlal and Mafatlal's purported abusive conduct towards his wife, suggesting a similar mindset in her husband. "Gautam seems to admire the power, control, and strength exhibited by individuals like Mafatlal—a superhuman in his eyes," Modi insinuated, hinting at Singhania's inclination towards asserting dominance.
