Pakistan's deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Mariam Nawaz have to apply for a high-ranking prison. According to the officials, as a former MP, Sharif will be kept in a high-class jail, but his daughter, Mariam Nawaz, will get this facility only when she will present the proof of annual income tax of six lakh rupees. Officials said that although it depends on the judge, in which jail she should be held guilty, in the beginning, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter can be kept in Adiala jail because this prison is high-security ward.
Sharif and Mariam have been sentenced to ten and seven years respectively in a court in Avenfeld apartment by a Pakistani court. Both will be arrested on Friday from London to Lahore. Sharif's wife is being treated for throat cancer in London. The official said that both would have to apply for a higher class jail. Air conditioning and cooling will not be available in the jail. According to officials, after giving the application, Nawaz's son-in-law can get the facility of staying in a high-class jail, but he has not yet applied for this.
The Supreme Court has convicted Nawaz Sharif for 10 years and his daughter, Miriam Sharif, for seven years in Avenfield Corruption case. The court has imposed a penalty of about 73 million rupees on Nawaz Sharif and 18 million rupees on Mary. At the same time, both sons of Nawaz Sharif, Hussein and Hassan have been declared fugitives.
