Mumbai: Corona infection is spreading fast in Maharashtra. Maharashtra has the highest number of cases reported in the country. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar had conducted a test of corona in which he has been found negative. A colleague of his said on Monday that the 79-year-old NCP supremo underwent an investigation at Breach Candy Hospital last week after his security personnel and some associates were found to be corona infected.

His aide said on condition of anonymity that although NCP Chief Sharad Pawar had not come in contact with any of them, as a precaution he has gone into exile for at least four days. It is not clear whether any other members of the Sharad Pawar family or other NCP leaders and leaders of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi, who are in constant contact with each other, have undergone the corona test. About half a dozen ministers of the state have been found to be Corona positive so far, besides independent MP Navneet Kaur-Rana and her husband Ravi Rana from Amravati.

A day earlier, former MP Nilesh Rane, son of BJP leader and former Maharashtra CM Narayan Rane, was found corona infected. He himself gave information about this by tweeting. He said that after getting the initial symptoms of corona, he got his examination done and his test report was found positive. He has quarantined himself. He has urged that people who come in contact with him in the last few days also get their corona test done.
