Mumbai: NCP chief Sharad Pawar has given a big statement amid the political uproar in Rajasthan. In an interview to Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, Sharad Pawar said that the BJP had offered NCP to form the government, but the 'Operation Kamal' or operation Lotus of BJP in Maharashtra will not succeed.

NCP President Sharad Pawar said that Operation Lotus will not succeed in Maharashtra and the Thackeray government will complete a five-year term. Sharad Pawar told that the BJP was trying to form a government in alliance with NCP in Maharashtra without Shiv Sena. This interview has been given by NCP Chief Sharad Pawar to Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut. Sharad Pawar said that the NCP never talked with the BJP to form the government, the proposal was to remove the Shiv Sena and form the government, but now the Thackeray government will run for five years.

Sharad Pawar said that destabilizing governments of opposing views is a misuse of power. 'Operation Lotus' is part of the same but it will not work in Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar further said that there is a government of three parties in Maharashtra and it is important to continue the dialogue among the three. If the state's CM Uddhav Thackeray continues to negotiate with his colleagues, any operation will prove to be a failure.
