Mumbai: NCP chief Sharad Pawar has once again defended Anil Deshmukh over the 100-crore letter from former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh in Maharashtra. NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that Anil Deshmukh was in the hospital from 5th to 15th February. Sharad Pawar said that Anil Deshmukh was admitted to the hospital due to his being infected with corona.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that it was a wrong fact that Anil Deshmukh and Sachin Waj were talking in February. Pawar defended Anil Deshmukh and said that there was no dialogue between Vaze and Deshmukh in the month of February. NCP chief Sharad Pawar further said that Anil Deshmukh was in quarantine from 16th to 27th February. Sharad Pawar said that Param Bir Singh had made this allegation to divert the direction of the investigation.

Sharad Pawar further said that earlier it was felt that serious allegations have been leveled against Anil Deshmukh. But, at that moment, the Home Minister of Maharashtra was admitted to a hospital in Nagpur, so there was a conversation between Vaze and Deshmukh, this is wrong. Sharad Pawar further said that whether Anil Deshmukh should be examined or not, the right is with CM Uddhav Thackeray, he will decide on it. He further said that it is not advisable to pronounce the verdict before the investigation.
