Amritsar: Several policemen were injured in an attack by Nihang Sikhs in Punjab. In Tarn Taran, there was a clash between the police and the miscreants on Sunday. In fact, the police had received input that two wanted criminals of killing a Baba on Takht Sri Huzur Sahib in Nanded, Maharashtra are hiding here.

The Maharashtra police informed the Punjab police in this regard. Then the local police reached out to the culprits. There, the Nihang Sikhs suddenly became agitated and they attacked and cut off the wrist of the Station Incharge. There is also a serious injury on his second wrist.  The police also fired at the Encounter and both the Nihang Sikhs were piled up on the spot. The Nihang Sikhs who were piled up in the Encounter have been identified as Mehtab Singh and Gurdev Singh. They had killed Baba Santosh Singh at Nanded Sahib and then escaped.

The police had registered a designated case against both and their location was found in Tarn Taran. The police went there after they were reported to be in the Singapura area. The ceremony of indulgence was continuing today after the death of the Head Constable Sarabjit Singh of the station Bhikhiwind, which took place 10 days ago in the village of Chhichhrewal. Both the culprits were also hiding here. After which this action was taken.
