New Delhi: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha member ND Gupta have written a letter to the Rajya Sabha Speaker demanding an indefinite adjournment of the House. The MP mentioned in the letter that the Lok Sabha Speaker was corona positive. He wrote in the letter that "In view of the safety of the members and staff of the House, the session should be postponed as the corona cases are on the rise across the country."

MP Gupta also wrote in the letter that "The average age of the members of the House is 62 years and most of the MPs are senior citizens. Recently, the Lok Sabha speaker has also been reported to have been infected with the corona. Therefore, the idea of continuing the proceedings of the House needs to be revisited keeping in view the safety of the people."

The recovery rate is also declining as the number of corona active cases in Delhi increases rapidly. Surprisingly, the number of active corona cases in Delhi within 24 hours has been recorded at more than 200. In March, corona active cases have grown by more than 2200. At present, the number of active patients in the country's capital has crossed 3600.
