New Delhi's Mandir Marg Police Station arrested a criminal declared a fugitive. The accused slapped Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar in the year 2011. The accused has been identified as Arvinder Singh alias Harvinder Singh, who hails from Swaroop Nagar in Delhi. Two cases are registered against him at Connaught Place police station and Sansad Marg Marg. In both cases, he has been declared a fugitive.

In his statement, DCP Ish Singhal said that the accused Arvinder Singh attacked the then Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on 24 November 2011 in the convention hall of NDMC at Connaught Place.
