New Delhi: Congress leader Udit Raj has used the word 'Flattering' for Her Excellency Daupadi Murmu. Now there is a ruckus in the political corridors over this word. Where BJP has described it as Congress mentality against tribals and women. At the same time, the Women's Commission has also taken cognizance of using such words against the woman holding the highest office in the country. The Women's Commission has issued a notice to Udit Raj, asking him to apologize for using such words.

Udit Raj's statement has been described as 'highly objectionable' by the Chairperson of the Women's Commission Rekha Sharma. He has written on his Twitter handle that, 'Such words are very objectionable against the Supreme Power of the country and the woman who has reached that point with her hard work.' In his tweet, he has asked Udit Raj to apologize. Rekha Sharma has further written that 'Udit Raj must apologize for this derogatory statement.'

At the same time, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has said that the words used by Udit Raj are worrying and unfortunate. He has said that 'This is not the first time that Congress has used such words, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury did the same. This shows their anti-tribal mindset.'
